Information shared in the course of a confirmed attorney-client engagement is protected by legal professional privilege under Sections 126 to 129 of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872. Initial communications made prior to formal engagement are treated with the same degree of care and confidentiality as privileged communications.

Access to client information within the firm is limited to advocates and authorised staff who require it to render services. All personnel are bound by confidentiality obligations that survive the termination of their engagement with the firm.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to access, correct, and in certain circumstances erase personal information held by us, as well as the right to withdraw consent to processing. You may also nominate another individual to exercise these rights in the event of your death or incapacity.

Archival retention timelines align with limitation periods under the Limitation Act, 1963 and applicable professional standards.

Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are maintained to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. No system is fully impervious to risk, and in the event of any notifiable data breach, we will act in accordance with applicable notification requirements.
